Fred Liebel

Fred was born and raised in upstate New York and attended the State University of New York at Albany, majoring in Economics. Throughout the 1970’s and early 1980’s he was involved in management positions with several construction and hospitality-based companies, eventually forming his own company that specialized in the management of resort hotels in the Lake George region of New York state. His insurance career began with the United Community Insurance Company where he oversaw the appraisal and risk management division that serviced large school districts and municipalities throughout the country. In 1993, Fred accepted a position with one of United Community Insurance Company's affiliates in San Diego. As a producer with that firm he gained a technical expertise in the unique insurance needs of yacht clubs, security guard firms and non-profit social service agencies.n 1997, Fred became associated with the Michael Ehrenfeld Company.


Fred is a past board member of the Insurance Brokers Association of San Diego, a past appointee to the New York State Office of Advocate for the Disabled, and currently sits on the executive board of the City of San Diego Parks and Recreation department’s Disabled Services Advisory Council. An avid monoskier, hand cyclist and triathlete he spends most of his free time as a volunteer with a number of San Diego agencies that promote sports and recreation programs for children with disabilities.
