Jamie was introduced to insurance after 6 years in construction management. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Safety Management and a Master of Science degree in Fire Science before joining Black & Veatch Engineering. Shortly thereafter Jamie became the Corporate Safety Director for Burns & McDonnell Construction overseeing the safety management of subcontractors on projects for Lockheed Martin, Southern Energy Corporation, General Electric and Conoco.

Jamie joined Allied Insurance as a Senior Loss Control Representative before becoming a Commercial Underwriter. He finished his final two years with Allied as a Loss Control Director, sitting on the Large Claims Committee and managing the loss control services for a 12 state region in the Midwest.

Jamie has been published twice by ASSE in their construction specialty newsletter for the management of subcontractors and protection of passengers/visitors to an airport while under construction. He is certified by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals as a Construction Health & Safety Technician and he has earned his designation as a Certified Safety Professional.

Jamie is committed to his involvement with the Big Brothers/Big Sisters of San Diego and enjoys helping his wife in her activities with Junior league in his spare time.
