Barrett, a native of San Diego received his Bachelor of Arts degree from San Diego State University. Barrett began his career as a commercial insurance agent. Prior to joining the Michael Ehrenfeld Company he was an agent with a North San Diego County agency. He has developed a technical knowledge of workers compensation claims handling and loss control which he has implemented as a value added service for his clients. This has included the development of industry specific accident prevention information that Barrett uses to educate employees when hosting quarterly safety meetings at clients businesses. He has developed special programs for restaurants and automotive related businesses. Barrett is currently working towards his CPCU designation.
